Community Living

It is not just about coming in to an area and trying to fix things from the outside, it is about being a part of the community and effecting change from within. That is why we developed the Ministry Support House Strategy. The idea of the Ministry Support House is to bring folks from inside and outside Tillicum and Woodbrook together to solve the unique issues of this area. Folks who choose to live in a MSH will serve ten hours per week doing community service. Work will range from mentor students, neighborhood clean up, volunteering at the Youth for Christ Drop In, and just about any place a real felt need of the community can be found.

The first MSH was opened in May 2007 with others planned. In addition to the houses we are arraigning we are also excited about the possibility of other individuals and families that would be willing to move to Tillicum and Woodbrook to be a part of this amazing opportunity to transform the lives of so many people. Please feel free to contact us for further information about this project and how you can get involved. We are very excited about the possibility of new houses joining this community.
